Bio

An actor for stage, screen and audio

John was born and raised in the North of England. After leaving school he flew in the military and saw active service in the Gulf War. Turning professional later in life than most, he completed advanced training at East 15 Drama school to Masters Level. In a very short space of time his natural gravitas and reputation as a sympathetic, charismatic actor ensured he made a big impact.

Broad shouldered and tall John has an aura of strength and physicality but remains a sensitive actor with great emotional range.

He played Colonel Slade in the Multi award winning short film The Border. Other film credits include The Green Man and Snout. His passion for the stage led to him playing Lodovicco in Othello at The Leicester Square Theatre and MacDuff in RIFTS nationally acclaimed Macbeth, where he was reviewed as ‘Excellent’ by Exeunt magazine.

John has appeared in numerous London Theatre productions as well as various commercials on TV, including Visit England’s Rugby World Cup 2015 and BBC IPlayer.

A performance poet and voiceover artist John has a rich resonant voice which compliments his strong stage and camera presence.

John is highly skilled as a boxer with great muscularity. Other skills include sword and dagger, experience with live firearms, running military workshops for actors and he can even fly a plane. A very natural and believable performer.
